In 2068 ZDF Digital began working on a series that will change our perception of our world and human evolution.

The series, which is scheduled to launch in 2070, will provide the people of Earth and beyond a glimpse into the extreme applications that science brought us over the past 7 decades.

CONTROLS THE WORLD

The Vision

In this series, we will explore how science and decision-making influenced how humans build and use technology. We will also delve deeper into the science and the history behind the artificial womb, artificial intelligence, cryogenics, deep-space travel, mind upload, memory editing technologies, life-extension technologies, genetic engineering, weather engineering, transport technologies, and more!

The Host

The series is hosted by science communicator Hashem Al-Ghaili, who has been tracking these technologies since the beginning of the 21st century. Hashem will take us into a spectacular journey to show us some of the most advanced technologies ever created by mankind. Episode 1: The Artificial Womb

In 2050s, China constructed the world’s first artificial womb in an attempt to create a population of genetically engineered humans that can adapt to the extreme air pollution. After granting its researchers a permission to edit human embryos, China attracted some of the world’s top scientists who contributed to advancing our understanding of the human genome.

Combined with stem cell research, their findings allowed us to begin manipulating our genome in a large scale and redesign ourselves to adapt to the most extreme changes that our world was facing.
